Use & Precautions

Multani mitti (Fuller's earth) is a clay that absorbs excess oil and clears surface impurities, while neem brings antibacterial and soothing properties. Used together, they can reduce shine and calm inflamed, oily skin when applied carefully and not too frequently.

To use: mix a thin paste of Multani mitti with rose water or cooled green tea and add a small amount of powdered neem or neem infusion for antibacterial benefit. Apply to oily areas for 8–12 minutes and rinse off gently. Overuse dries the barrier and can increase compensatory oil production, so limit to once a week for most people.

Contraindications: avoid clay masks on broken, very inflamed or pustular acne without consulting a professional; clays can irritate open lesions and worsen inflammation. Always patch-test and use a soothing, hydrating product afterwards to restore moisture balance.

Practical benefits: when used responsibly, these ingredients reduce surface oil, unclog pores and give a visible reduction in small bumps over a few weeks. They are best paired with a simple everyday routine rather than as frequent, standalone interventions.
